L'Arcolaio is a very special restaurant and, with only four tiny tables and no separation between kitchen and dining room, could well be the smallest restaurant... read more L'Arcolaio is a very special restaurant and, with only four tiny tables and no separation between kitchen and dining room, could well be the smallest restaurant I've eaten at in my long life. Run by two sisters who do both the cooking and the waiting, L'Arcolaio is full to the brim of a myriad of family items and pictures, which contribute to the feeling of eating not in a restaurant but at the sisters' home, also considering the continuous interaction and chatting between the customers and the owners. The menu gives a good overview of local cuisine and products, and the dishes are very well prepared and of excellent quality. Prices are rather expensive, a 3-course dinner would exceed €50 without wine, but are somehow justified by the quality and the uniqueness of the dining experience. Recommended.
