Description

In Colfax, a cozy small‑town diner serves generous, affordable breakfasts, lunches and dinners—highlighted by buckwheat pancakes, homemade cinnamon rolls and locally sold lentils. Service is friendly and attentive, restrooms are clean and parking is available, making it family‑ and senior‑friendly. Portions are hearty and prices fair, though occasional slow service, inconsistent egg preparation and limited staff have been noted. Signage and RV parking can be tricky; note the diner is closed on Sundays.

The food was excellent, and the portions were generous—so much so that it was challenging to finish everything. The quantity was just right! Our waitress was outstanding; she was incredibly friendly and ensured that my husband's coffee never had a chance to get cold.

Awesome lil breakfast, lunch, and dinner spot! Be kind they're still starting up but they're doing a great job. Fast service and pretty tasty food. Very accommodating for having a couple very young kids with us. They also feature a full selection of locally grown lentils and garbanzos for sale as well. Will be back for sure!

Good food but kind of high priced who ever heard of breakfast with no toast or biscuits

This place used to be a Taco Time, and my GPS still indicated it as such. I ordered the Senior Fish and Chips meal, which gives you the option to swap fries for a salad; I opted for the salad. It was decent with a good amount of dressing. The fish bites were just right for a light lunch. All of this was just $5.95 for the senior price. If you're driving an RV, there's some parking available next door at Rosaur's when it's not busy, but be careful as getting into that parking lot with an RV can be tricky.

The food itself was quite good. The restaurant seems to be aiming for a cozy, small-town diner vibe with its offerings. I ordered the local Farms Buckwheat Pancake with bacon, while my wife opted for the chicken fried steak with hash browns. Both dishes were delicious, and we had no complaints whatsoever. We even indulged in one of their homemade cinnamon rolls, which was fantastic! I’m giving it 4 stars mainly because the place seems a bit empty, but I understand that they’re still a work in progress. We look forward to coming back!
