Blu Mussel serves exceptional food. Tony Ambrose, the chef/owner, is creative and a superb chef. The restaurant needs a new location in order to receive more business. It's present location is jinxed, we think, and chef Ambrose deserves more patronage. View all feedback.
What Jay Stracke doesn't like about Blu Mussel Tavern:
The restaurant's website and menu was put together so nicely that it made it look like the food would be really good. We got the blu mussels as an app which were pretty average. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs as my meal. The meatballs were large portion which was great, but the sauce was awful. I would have preferred a jar sauce. The service was extremely awkward. We couldn't tell if it was the server's first day... View all feedback.
It seems that the restaurant closes! no wine selection and no other diner at place and place ... too bad
Was a special birthday celebration. Made reservation and when we arrived the restaurant was closed. Out of busy?
The worst! No Chardonnay wine. Never heard that in any bar or restaurant. No cream fir coffee. Just heavy crean or milk. Foid ok but we were the only party there except for one table if 3 and one tabke of 2. This was a Friday night. Very stange place. Little info from staff on wgat was going on. Never going back. Warning our friends. Wirst experience in years!
The closest good restaurant to the South Shore Music Circus in Cohasset and it is gem. Highly recommended for a before concert dinner or drink.
The food was outstanding from the tomato and buratta salad to the pasta and clams entree. The bread was fresh baked with a side of honey butter. Not much of a wine selection but overall was a great place to dine ! A short distance from events at South Shore Music!
