We had a very nice dining experience in this historic setting. I had the Grilled Cider Brined Pork Chop which I thought was outstanding in flavor and composition. My wife had the Pan Seared Sea Scallops which she enjoyed but felt that the non-scallop part of the meal was room temperature. The breads served were excellent and the drinks were okay. Slowly heading down hill. Used to be better quality of food service. Island Creek oysters are definitely not (second time in so many visits that I knew instantly). Can tell from the shape of the shell and the depth. Never mind the taste. Also, steam-clean the place top to bottom, including shampooing the carpets. But, on the positive side, that can be said of every other restaurant in the area in the same price bracket (looking squarely at you Solstice). We used to travel into Boston because there were no good alternatives. I guess we are back to that.

Underwhelming. While we were excited when we walked into the cozy bar area (been there before during various owners), things went downhill fast. Meals were mediocre at best steak tips not charred, chicken picatta pasta undercooked. Wine list limited and small pour. Service started out good but with only one bartender, she forgot about us after serving our meal. This is a place for Duxbury residents who don't want to travel and have low expectations.
Very cozy (Fire place)near bar. Menu had lots of solid options. We had fish and chips mainly because thats what we went out for but the menu had lots of good options. Deserts were well done. Staff were really nice and attentive. We are definitley coming back.Overall really enjoyed the ambiance and food.
