The name of this restaurant is a bit confusing, says Rosies Dockside Restaurant on Facebook, where I was told to watch when I called the place that it says the Gull's Nest Restaurant on the building? Anyway, we knew it was a... restaurant with a beautiful view of the river. A lot to see. The outdoor terrace is simple but beautiful. My wife had the Mediterranean omelet and I had the classic breakfast. Really enjoyed i... View all feedback.
What Alfred Blin doesn't like about The Gull's Nest Restaurant:
My family and I were camping all weekend and we decided we wanted to go find a breakfast joint to order out from, we came across the Gulls Nest. My husband went in and ordered takeout, he did say it was very busy and that he noticed what he thinks was the owner being so disrespectful to the other workers. He should of walked out then. The breakfast wrap was DISGUSTING! The three whole sausages were not cooked, there w... View all feedback.
A simple restaurant sparsely decorated but with very helpful staff and a "homey" community feel to it. It is obvious that it is mostly frequented by those in the community, as many who came in knew the chef/waitresses. The food was simple, home style comfort food. Nothing fancy but solid home cooking. I had a hoagie and asked for hot sauce for added kick. The fries were a little bland but my meal came with gravy so all was good. I did find it a bit pricey for what we got, but the kids meal on the breakfast until 4 pm (a good feature) was well worth its value. I would eat here again.
Good simple food that is reasonably priced. Service is a little slow but staff is friendly. Eating areas are bright, clean, and spacious.
This restaurant is average size but the food is good and you get good sized portions. There is a large variety. They have a liquor license now.
I arrived, the waitress saw me come in and I sat down....Waited a few minutes, and no one came to offer a menu so I got up and got my own menu. So at this point I'm not expecting much. I sat there several more minutes... Probably 5 minutes. The waitress came and greeted me with "what would you like?"....Right down to business lol... Anyway the menu was your average truck stop items so nothing specific or special. I ordered a hamburger and Fraser salad. The meat was very good, the bun was very fresh...The only complaint is the lack of condiments and only a slice of tomato..No lettuce. That was silly because it costs very little to add another slice of tomato or just even lettuce. The ceaser salad was soaked in dressing but it was fresh. The waitress never came back to see if everything was good with my food. When she did come to remove my plate she said.."come to the back when you're ready"...Lol...And that's it!! Right down to business. If anything, I'd recommend coaching and training for the waitress. The place is ok.
Sometimes I forget to check my trip advisor before going to a new restaurant on a road trip. This is of note to self not to do that again. This restaurant was absolutely horrendous. I ordered a Montecristo sandwich with french fries and gravy. The sandwich was so tasteless - The cheese had no taste, God chicken had no taste, and even the crappy white bread they served it on had no taste. I didn't even eat half the sandwich and the waitress never asked me why I never finished my meal. There was another couple at the restaurant who barely touch their meal and whether that was because it was so bad or they weren't feeling well I have no idea. I would not recommend this restaurant besides The food being tasteless there is absolutely no way Ambience to the restaurant. Definitely "a never go back" restaurant. Just
