For 20 years we have been driving through Norland, thinking this was a high end restaurant! So many years lost! Our meal was AMAZING! Po-Boy shrimp wrap with roasted garlic Caesar salad (no extra charge for garden, caesar or spinach salad) had my taste buds tingling YUMMY! My husband said his burger was the best he had ever had (and he eats a lot of burgers) Service was outstanding! They were very busy when we arrive... View all feedback.

Great place to grap a bite to eat. My friend and I both order the large sald which was great. The food was tasty, the service was quick and the waitress was very friendly. I would stop again on the way to Ottawa maybe try to arrange to have dinner this time. View all feedback.
Under *NEW Ownership* We had visited this restaurant years ago and were not very impressed. However, in a hurry to get back home from our cottage on a Friday evening, my granddaughter and I decided to stop here for fish and chips, even if it meant grabbing it to go. To our surprise, we were able to find a table and place our order. The fish and chips were delicious, with perfectly crispy and flavorful batter. We even had the opportunity to meet the new owners, who were very welcoming and attentive. It seems there is new hope for this restaurant! We will definitely be returning in the future. The owner was very kind and accommodating.
This is a great place to visit with family or a date. It has a casual and cozy atmosphere with cottage-style decor. It is one of the nicer restaurants in the cottage area, with friendly service and hot, delicious food that is easy to find. There isn't much to see in the area as other stores were closed. We called to make a dinner reservation at 2pm on a random Tuesday, and the mature lady who answered sounded stressed as she tried to fit us in for a party of 4 plus a high chair for a baby. She asked us to arrive earlier, so we came before 5. It seems they are always fully booked, so make your reservations early. Our first impression wasn't great, and their website was a bit odd-looking. However, when we arrived after a heavy downpour, we found a third of the restaurant filled with mainly seniors. It looked much better than the website, and the waitresses were very sweet. Every table had a reserved sign, so the lady wasn't kidding earlier. The service was quick at that time, and the food was fresh and hot. My mother-in-law had no complaints. We didn't have room for dessert, but after learning that the coffee wasn't freshly ground drip coffee but from a syrup machine, we decided to get the bill. The menu is a bit all over the place, but you can't go wrong with their sandwiches, burgers, and fish and chips. We would definitely go back to relax on the patio next time.
This restaurant is fantastic! We tried the steak special and it was delicious. I highly recommend the cozy ambiance and the welcoming staff. We first heard about The Riverside from The Yellow Moose B&B and we were not disappointed. The bacon-wrapped pickles were fantastic, and the Caesar Salad was one of the best I've had in a while, with plenty of bacon on top. I give it 5 stars!
Nice and fun stop on the drive home! Huge portions! Nothing that compares around. Wd definitely come again. Veal sandwich was good. Maybe a little too dressed. Curry, butter chicken...reminiscent of mr pataks. But still great that someone else cooked it! Chicken parm! Huge! Kids chicken fingers great!
We really enjoyed our meal here. We had French onion soup and pork schnitzel. The schnitzel was as large as the plate and the mashed potatoes and gravy that came with it were very good. We each took 1/2 home for another meal. Make sure you call ahead to ensure you get a table. The staff are all very nice and work amazingly well together.
