Now, there’s a lot of gristle that... read more They used to offer the best burgers in the Cobleskill area, but it seems they've switched to a much cheaper quality of meat. Now, there’s a lot of gristle that you end up having to spit out while eating. I'm really disappointed that they've compromised on quality. The presence of gristle and cartilage makes the $12.95 price point hard to justify.

When a customer asks for a burger cooked medium rare, it shouldn’t come out well done for another year in a row. Similarly, when someone orders chicken fingers, they shouldn’t be overcooked to the point of being inedible. It’s disappointing when staff members recognize returning customers and attempt to make things right, only for the kitchen to miss the mark yet again. The message is clear: we don’t feel valued as customers. Don’t worry, Chieftains; as a small town pub, you likely wouldn’t survive elsewhere, and you won’t be getting our hard-earned money again. So much for giving you a second chance. Goodbye.

The atmosphe... read more The food was incredibly delicious! My waitress suggested the night’s special, haddock with lemon sauce, and it did not disappoint—it was fantastic! The atmosphere is really charming, and there’s convenient off-street parking. I will definitely be coming back during my visit.

However, we were seated in separate booths, making it impossible to communicate with one another. The service was very slow. I ordered a glass of wine that was only filled a quarter of the way (definitely not what I expected for a tasting). I also ordered a burger without the bun and fries. When I requested a side salad, I was informed it would be an extra charge. This will be my first and last visit!
