Bull’s Head Inn - Cobleskill
Bull’s Head Inn
Description
Located in a historic building dating back to the 1800s, this restaurant offers a unique dining experience with great atmosphere and exceptional food. The staff is attentive and the music adds to the lively ambience without being overwhelming. The menu includes vegetarian options, such as beyond beef burgers for a small surcharge. While the service may not be perfect due to understaffing, the overall dining experience is worth the visit. Make a reservation to enjoy live music on weekends downstairs or book a private party upstairs, where you may even come across a ghost. The cocktail menu is impressive, and there is also a gluten-free menu available. Overall, this restaurant offers great value for money, delicious food, and a rich historical charm that makes it a must-visit spot.

Went there for my bday. Bill was 99$ for fries and two pastas and two drinks. Terribly overpriced food. I got garlic fries, just fries with a crap ton of garlic on it. I could have did it at home better. I know someone that used to work there and you would be surprised on how much stuff is done behind closed doors. Waiters body shame people and owners rule like tyrants. He got fired cause his boyfriend surprised him with a trip to the macys day thanksgiving parade that he has always wanted to go to. But they gave him an option to work or don’t bother showing up after thanksgiving. They tried to use there power over him and he chose his happiness over a crap job that will fire one of there best employees bc he is a 20 year old and wants to enjoy life especially being a full time college student where the time he has to spare is important.
I highly recommend this establishment. It's a beautiful old inn, 1802, is very well maintained, and spotless clean. This is our third visit here and because their beef is such high quality, it's what I order every time. Very good food and generous portions delivered, hot, to your table. Nikita was our server and did a very good job. I'm looking forward to our next visit. Food: 5

Very quaint pub restaurant, wonderful atmosphere as soon as you enter. History filled place to be sure. On a Friday in the fall we stopped in while passing thru Cobleskill. A wonderful waitress introduced herself and read all the specials. Had a red ale which she brought right away. Ordered the cauliflower broccoli soup which was amazing. Chunks of cauliflower and a finish every drop taste. Then we had the sandwich special, the prime rib on ciabatta roll. Could not believe it when the order came out. A full strip of prime rib steak on the roll. Not sliced to look bigger like so many places. One of the best sandwiches we've had ANYWHERE. Very fairly priced for the size and quality. Paid the upcharge for the side salad which was generous and nicely made. Total experience with the meal and room ambience was top notch. Must go back again to try more of the menu when in town.
