Merridale Cidery Distillery

We stayed two nights in a yurt. It was the most relaxed weekend ever! Staff are friendly and helpful, but they also offer space. Restaurant Essen was great. Nice place to stay with a fascinating walk around the orchard. If you need a break from the hectic, this is the place to stay! Rooms: The first time to stay in a yurt. Wonderful space that leaves the lively world behind. You see the stars in the night through the dome and hear frogs at the nearby pond. Idyllic! We visited the restaurant in Merridale after taking the wonderful cedar and realized that they have a restaurant, and cedar that we can visit the tour. So last Saturday we made reservations and accompanied us in an amazing dinner and just a great experience. Staff and service were great, the meal was delicious and the total cost was perfect. We even picked up an apple wine we could taste at dinner. You just have to try, you'll be thrilled. Oh, and just to add that there are many great restaurants around, but very, very few who have the beautiful walk up, and private feeling of eating on an estate. That was something special. Thank you. Merridale is one of my favorite places when I visit the island. It is a beautiful property with the best atmosphere to really relax and enjoy the summer (or any season). Would recommend going for live music on weekends! The cedar is great and I always leave with a bottle of gin, because I haven't found anyone else who compares.

We came here for a cider tasting and were not disappointed. The 2 flights we picked had a great selection of ciders and the apple pie tasted delicious! I loved the Mo'moro cider and the apple liquor was very decadent. The drive out was a bit long and the location is very secluded but it was absolutely worth it. Such a beautiful orchard with several buildings and grounds. We did the walk around the orchard looking for faerie doors, so much fun and a lovely walk after eating and drinking. The staff was friendly and their farm shop had a good selection of things to take home. Service: 5 Location: 5
