It was a birthday party tonight. The broken pool league that was a bit unpleasant, but it's a Monday night. Grab a table and had good, well-made drinks, a warm welcome from the bartender. It didn't feel like an outsider who's mean with local bars. The bathrooms were clean and the whole atmosphere was nice. Service: 5/5 View all feedback.
Never waited for a drink and very friendly. One has to stop. Place was clean and well kept! For a beer and a few hours. 9 15 22 Was asked to update from maps! They survived the madness of recent years and seem to be stronger. This place holds great regular clientele. Everyone is friendly and makes you feel at home, hit most other bartenders and they are all great people. RD the owner is a class act and understands how to lead the place, very welcoming and talking to everyone, seems very committed with the success! And yes, great work to remember people and even their order they had last time there. Travelers and visitors are treated as regular, in a good way. You don't have idiots, and if you fail, they'll tell you. They make everyone comfortable at any time. The moose is still the only one to stop bar on the west side of the city. If you have not been there, then you do not have the real Iowa people, its small town bar environment in the Des Moines area. MISS STOPPING BY IF YOUR IN TOWN! FYI Go there early and check food specialties there daily. You serve something great food, but you can still get the stuff you regret eating the next day when that is what your desire!

Fully reccomend stopping by for Steak Night on Wednesday! They have amazing food, service, specials and drinks

The moose is one of my always favorite after work, bar spots! Great service, incredible prices, friendly staff and a great beer selection. The two for a special one is the best in the city!
