Gazali's
Description
Gazali's serves authentic Mediterranean favorites—spicy garlic shawarma, gyros, flaky pistachio baklava, Turkish coffee and house-made pita—paired with warm, Sinatra-backed hospitality and a cozy cottage-cafe vibe. Diners praise fresh flavors, attentive staff and generous portions at times, but experiences are inconsistent: reports include undercooked falafel, dry gyro meat, plain cold rice, messy wraps and high prices. Vegetarians may find limited vegetable options. Worth a try for desserts and shawarma, but temper expectations around consistency and value.

The gyros here are delicious! However, it was by far the most expensive and messiest lunch I've ever experienced. I ordered a single gyro and ended up paying $13 for just four slices of lamb/gyro meat, a slice of cucumber, a bit of onion, and a couple of pieces of lettuce. Most of the tzatziki ended up on the wrapper, leaving enough on the outside to drench two wrappers and make a mess on my desk. There were no fries or drink included. I might consider returning, but definitely not for lunch!
I'm so glad we chose to dine here today and had the pleasure of meeting the wonderful host. We enjoyed the Chicken Shawarma, salad, and falafel, all of which were delicious. The baklava truly stole my heart! MJ, our host, was an absolute gem and suggested we try the coffee with the baklava, and it was an incredible experience. We're very pleased with our visit. Cheers!
Gazali’s is the best Mediterranean food in the metro area! The owner MJ and the rest of the staff are amazing and the food is top notch. Highly recommend everything on the menu especially the hummus, gyro plates and salads.
Loved it. Food was fresh, delicious. Service was quick, friendly and genuine. Skip the fast food plans you have and go here for dinner!
It is not often that I rate a restaurant at five stars. This is exciting to do so on this platform. Gazali's Mediterranean meets and exceeds that rating. The Mediterranean cuisine is expertly prepared with superb taste and quality. The chicken and doner lamb wraps with homemade pita, and tzatziki were so very good that we finished every bite of large wraps. The meals were large enough that we thought we would have to divide the wraps and carry them home. Nope, we could not stop eating such terrific food. The gyro doner wrap was spiced with arugula at just the right amount for a spicey bite. The meal finished with baklava with Turkish coffee, both traditionally prepared. The baklava was not overly sweet and had the crispiest phyllo. A floral hot tea was spectacular and kept hot with refills of boiling water. The iced tea is probably the best in the city. I could not get enough of that beverage through the meal. The Turkish coffee was classic and the best since I originally had it in Cairo, Egypt. My new favorite is better than traditional expresso. Mj is the consummate host, so warm, friendly, and genuinely happy to have us for lunch. It was as if we stepped into a cottage cafe, where everyone knew our name from the first instant. This is a restaurant not to miss. Truly, the best and most authentic Mediterranean cuisine in the area. They have 40 years of service in the metro to back up the claim. We look forward to many returns.
