Gazali's - Clive

I've had the best lunch for a long time. I thought this was a new restaurant, but I found out that they were moving, but they were founded in Des Moines for 18 years. The humus was probably the best humus I had in Des Moines. We stopped shortly after the lunch break, so we got some more attention so it was a bit slower, which was nice. Karren (I think her name was) told us how to prepare her food, which was a nice touch. Very friendly. I am very pleased to have found this restaurant that is close to my office. It is a small, modern feeling and the food is a good quality. Not the frozen processed stuff you find out. I would recommend starting with hummus and ending with baklava with Turkish coffee. We had the Jalapeño chicken sluice and the garlic chicken sluice. Both extremely tasteful. Chicken was very tender. I would also recommend following a side of the hot “sauce”. Went great with the humus and I also added a little to my packaging. I'm definitely back.

I'm glad we've been eating here today and met the amazing host. We had Chicken Shawarma and Salad, Falafel it was delicious. Baklava won my heart! MJ was a jewel of a person and offered us to try the coffee with baklava, the experience was amazing. We found our way Cheers

Love is coming! MJ Gazali is always very warm and welcoming to the people who come. More from a human-oriented restaurant, Sinatra plays soft in the background and it is easy to forget that you are in Clive, Iowa hidden as the outside world behind frost windows. Now for dinner! All my partner and I tried was delicious! I highly recommend the spicy garlic chicken Shawarma, falafel, hummus and baklava!

I've eaten twice here. Excellent meals both times. prefer the hummus via the babaghanoush personally, just a texture thing. Both taste good. The chips are amazing trying them out. Fair prices, friendly staff and the owner seems really nice and cares for the customers.

I love the spicy garlic chicken gyro basket! It comes with a Greek salad and a drink. Absolutely incredible. Great atmosphere and the service is always solid! Try the baklava. You'll be glad you did! Definitely one of my favorite lunch spots!
