Unfortunately, we were unable to enjoy them as, in spite of the available space, we were placed... read more Attractive gastropub with pleasant interiors and two log fires. Unfortunately, we were unable to enjoy them as, in spite of the available space, we were placed by a draughty window in the lobby and were compelled to don a coat to keep warm. The booking process was somewhat strict and off-putting, causing us to book at the last minute in case we fell foul of the policy which demands a non-refundable deposit should the table be cancelled within 48 hours of the booking. We booked a table for 6.30pm, received a call informing us that the pub opened at seven, arrived at seven and found other diners already ensconced within.

It is not by fluke or chance th... read more Every now and again you go for food and you are left absolutely speechless. But EVERY time I go the Parkers it is off the scale! It is not by fluke or chance that this incredible place is a constant in the Top 50 gastropubs (no.7 this year! . The food is always conversation stopping and jaw dropping. And the hospitality... Stosie, Kathy and AJ are not just some of the most talented and knowledgeable people I have ever met but also some of the nicest. The service, attention to detail and all round loveliness is well...amazing Stosie's pies are the best I have ever had and yesterday's venison variation reaffirmed that!
