We called around 3 PM while passing by, unsure of the opening hours and reservations, but found the place bustling with activity! It's a simple café that serves straightforward meals, but it's absolutely delightful. The food is home-cooked and delicious, and the pudding was to die for. It was exactly what we wanted, a refreshing change from the mass-produced, overcomplicated, or processed offerings that are so common today. We ordered the cheese, a honeycomb cake, and the black pudding with crumbs and ice cream. Every last bite was fantastic, and we would definitely recommend this place. The staff were helpful, friendly, and the food was truly tasty. Be sure to stop here and bypass the larger commercial establishments if you're looking for real food. Wonderful!
Cycling into the Trough of Bowland? This cafe is a must, kitted out for cyclists, great sausage butty and free tin foil for my freezing feet on the long ride home. Call in people, great spot.
Excellent tea room. Friendly staff and good facilities. Food is home cooked and could not be better and meals are a good price. Will certainly be visiting again.
Have been there today Friday 30th June 17......, wonderful. Food and staff great, def a place i will come back to visit in the future.
I ate here today with my partner and it was lovely. We had the soup and sandwich deal which was really good value and delicious. The homemade soup in particular. The staff were really friendly, we sat there for ages and didn't feel rushed even though they were busy. The area is beautiful, great for walking. We will definitely be back soon!
