Description

Nestled within the charming Whalley Abbey, the café has sparked mixed reviews, reflecting its journey of improvement since its inception. While some patrons have enjoyed the cozy atmosphere, quality coffee, and a range of tasty food options, others have expressed frustration with service inconsistencies and an overly cautious approach to food allergies. Critics point out issues like misunderstanding dietary needs and uncommunicative staff. However, the café’s commitment to inclusivity and training young, vulnerable individuals adds a unique touch. As it continues to evolve, it aims to create a welcoming environment, balancing efficiency and sensitivity to all guests.

I found this delightful cafe by chance and so glad that I did! After a busy morning of meetings the cozy cafe allowed me to refuel before my journey home to Manchester . A very tasty ham, Brie and pear panini a a cup of steaming hot coffee was just what I needed! Beautifully presented and the service was warm and friendly

I recently discovered a wonderful cafe that offers a wide variety of delicious food and hot drinks at an affordable price. I thoroughly enjoyed our mid-morning brunch of crumpets, tea cakes, and herbal tea. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. We will definitely be making this our go-to spot whenever we are in the area. A big thank you to the staff on June 28th, 2023.

We enjoyed two cappuccinos after our morning exercise class at this restaurant. The staff was very welcoming and friendly, and always eager to please. The atmosphere was great as well.

Wow I attempted to have a breakfast and a cup of coffee and it was a disaster. Initially they didn 't do breakfast so I settled for a sandwich and a coffee, the coffee arrived and it looked like warm dirty water and tasted nothing like coffee. After asking it was confirmed they had forgot to put the beans in the grinder therefore I was drinking water and coffee remnants, the second cup came and it looked like dirty dishwasher water and tasted metallic, I politely said forgot the coffee. Surprisingly a third cup came out no lie I was told I have tried to coffee and it 's nice I drank from this side of the cup therefore you drink from this side WOW WOW WOW!! As if providing two cups of water wasn 't enough, now they actually drink from customers cups and TELL then customer, sorry this is a massive no no and has massive hygiene implications.
