What User doesn't like about Naija Cafe:
we drove all the way from germantown to arrive at 7:30 clock, just to say that we are close. she refused to even take our order. when they say they close at 8... close at 8. what treatment is that? poor customer service, and this location is recommended. don't come back! View all feedback.
The jollof rice was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious, but the cassava was just average. Unfortunately, the beef was tough and clearly old - it was difficult to even bite into it. I may give this restaurant another chance to try a different dish. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere a 3 out of 5.
The food at this restaurant is top-notch, with a perfect score of 10 out of 10. I highly recommend trying the egusi soup with pounded yams and the jollof rice. The service is efficient, earning a score of 5 out of 5. The atmosphere is pleasant, scoring a 5 as well. This place is ideal for a take-out lunch, and the price per person typically falls between $10 and $20. Don't miss out on the delicious Pounded Yam and Egusi dishes.
I am absolutely appalled at the terrible service I received today. A young African American lady (clearly Americanized) was absolutely rude on the phone. Me and my family have been coming to this location since they have opened and unfortunately you all have lost several customers. The young lady rushed us off the phone when we were trying to put in a $200 order. The lady lost patience after I was attempting to gain clarification on an order for my senior grandfather. Please find a way to get your employees to gain better customer service. We loved this place and unfortunately will be taking our business elsewhere.
I recently tried the goat pepper soup with fufu at this authentic African restaurant and it was delicious! The gentleman working at the counter was very friendly. It appears that this restaurant is only for takeout orders. I will definitely be going back to try more dishes in the future.
I’ve known about this restaurant since 2018. I’ve ordered several things from them and I’ve done puff puff catering with them. I stopped ordering from them in 2019 after I ordered grilled fish and I got sick. Fast forward to 2023. Today, I decided to give them a try again and order Puffpuff, Asun, Egusi Soup and Okra soup with pounded yam The puff puff and Asun was nice as always Egusi- Tasted like it was mixed with undone tomato sauce. I can literally taste the sour tomatoes. No true Nigerian person will eat this. The color of the egusi looks very inviting, but the taste is not. Okra soup- I was skeptical to eat this at first because it wasn’t drawing like how okra soup should be. I decided to give it a try and my goodness I’m very disappointed. The soup has big portions of meat which is nice, but the taste is not up to par. Again, I don’t know any Nigerian or African at that, that will be okay with this. I have to say, their jollof rice, puff puff, Asun and meatpie is a must try, but every other thing is not authentic at all. I’ve also had an amazing customer service experience with them.
