Was Anonym at Wich-one a mag?
fresh, crispy and tasty cheese steak in contrast to everything I had to eat in this opposite, actually brings to shame the best philly cheese steak. I went well past the peak of the day at 15 o'clock and ordered a Korean cheese steak. simply the best decision I made all day. the brot was crispy, fluffy and fresh. the steak was nicely cooked with no pieces of fat, paired with some perfectly boiled wobbles, spring mix... What Anonym dislikes about Wich-one:
I was thrilled to try this place since I saw him in a magazine. the menu can be overwhelming, so they give themselves a second to collect their thoughts before ordering. there are not many veggie options, so they come here for the sandwiches with meat. the chicken sandwich was beautiful and had all kinds of flavors. many solid reviews for this place, but not for me. I would come back to give it another shot. 3.5 star... View all feedback.

The owner replied to my initial review, urging me to try the Korean cheesesteak, so I decided to return and give it a shot. I was also recommended the chicken teriyaki and the Wich Piggie cheesesteak, so I went for both. While both dishes were quite good, they didn't quite reach 5 stars for me. I would rate the cheesesteak a solid 4, as well as the Wich Piggie. By the end, they tasted very similar, and I found it hard to distinguish between the two. Overall, I liked the place, and these options felt like a nice upgrade from the vegetarian choices. I would definitely come back.

I had an incredible cheesesteak experience that was unlike anything else I've found in this area—it's even better than the best cheesesteaks in Philadelphia! I walked in around 3 PM, well after the lunch rush, and ordered a Korean cheesesteak, which turned out to be the best decision of my day. The bread was crunchy, fluffy, and exceptionally fresh. The steak was cooked to perfection, with no fatty bits at all, complemented by perfectly sautéed onions, a fresh spring mix, and a spicy sauce. I strongly urge anyone reading this to put down your device and head straight to Wich-One to try this amazing sandwich for yourself. Don't wait—go now!

I have been eyeing up this place and literally didn't eat breakfast so I could try the Wich Korean Cheesesteak and the Spicy Crispy Potatoes. Let me start with the sandwich. First of all, wow. The meat was cut perfectly and I am pretty picky about how my meat is sliced. As all the over reviewers have noted, the bread is perfection. It is crispy and pairs nicely with the meat. I got mine without onions, but with the greens and cheese. I saw another reviewer didn't like their mixed greens, but I really enjoyed mine and the cheese was perfectly melted. I got mine with the spicy sauce which was delicious. What I like about this sandwich is that is very balanced and the portions are in perfect ratio. This is the type of sandwich that gets better with each bite. It is $12.99 which is fair for the size and quality of the ingredients. I honestly could have been full on half the sandwich, but it was so yummy I finished the whole thing. Now let's talk about the Spicy Crispy Potatoes. I am currently eating my leftover Spicy Crispy Potatoes which I was very excited to come home to after midnight. This is a great dish to share with friends. He doesn't skimp on the sauce or seasoning which I love and I don't feel like I have had anything else like this. This place is not pretentious and unassuming (this is also reflected in the food) which I like even though they have gotten a lot of recognition. For me, it really represents the uniqueness of jersey food culture and how you can find something unique, not expensive, and exciting to eat in our community. I am pretty sure the owner took my order and made my food. He also asked me how my meal was at the end which I appreciate. There are a few tables inside but I wouldn't recommend going with a larger group than 4 if you plan to dine-in. I went at an off time which I think helped and everyone else there was getting take-away. I plan to go back in a few weeks with a friend and I am eager to try something new.

I hate writing reviews like this. After all, the best case scenario is always when hype and hope see eye to eye. In this particular case, unfortunately the first experience fell way short of expectations, especially after seeing this establishment listed amongst the top NJ cheesesteak options on NJ.com. For this particular meal I opted for the Korean cheesesteak along with the Asian pear empanada and the bubble green tea based on some of the feedback from other users. First the good: The bread on the cheesesteak was absolutely divine. Great texture, bite and crispiness. It was eons better than some of the soggy bread you might come across in lesser places and had a distinctive feel that made it unique versus more traditional south Philly offerings I chose the Sriracha aioli to go with the sandwich. Terrific choice, great flavor and it really gave the meal a nice kick The food was prepared very promptly and delivery was swift. The food arrived perfectly hot. Now the not so good: I was extremely surprised at the poor texture of the sandwich itself, aside from the bread. Maybe it was an off night or unlucky batch of meat but the beef in my cheesesteak was tough and had some unchewable cartilage or something similar in at least 3 bites that I ended up spitting out Another really bad no no was the way the onions were cooked in the sandwich. Again maybe it was an off night but the onion was way too overpowering, both in volume and also because it seemed undercooked. Several bites of onion were excessively tough and extremely unpleasant. Because of the above two bad combinations, I ended up only finishing less than 1/2 my sandwich, which was a shame considering the bread and aioli were quite good. But the rough beef and tough onions were just too unpleasant to manage. The apple pear empanada was fine. For me it wasn't the epicurean revelation that some other Yelpers here made it out to be, as it seemed too overpowering in flavor to me. I'm sure some others might like it but I'd skip this myself in the future. The bubble green tea was average. The consistency was a little watery for me which seemed to undercut the flavor/richness you'd expect from a matcha beverage. Again, this is something I'd see myself avoiding in the future. All in it was a broadly disappointing experience, which is a shame given all of the nice accolades that some gave this place. Personally my first experience was far from good, and it's unfortunate that my not so cheap meal didn't manage to fill me up for more than an hour or two due to the somewhat difficult to consume parts of the sandwich. However, I'm gonna chalk it up to a bad night and will try again, minus the onions.
