Cool place. friendly staff. They needed 20 minutes to order us when we sit down. They would always say they're right back and it was slow.. Finally they came to us and we put our order at once. Food was surprisingly good. The sauces were excellent. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Rib Country Bbq (cleveland, Ga):
Mehhh. It's a cool location. Staff wasn't that friendly. I asked what the locals ordered and sarcastically responded with a hot dog. Side eye. Overall the bbq was good, one sauce option other than ketchup/mustard for the hot dog. (March 2022) it snowed a little which was cool. View all feedback.
E X P E R I E N C E we came as a group of 8, as walk in, on a Sunday around 1130am. the staff immediately prepped our table and we were sat in a long picnic bench type table. it was a ljttle squishy but nice for everyone to be able to chat as a group. there were only two other tables sat but by 12:30pm, the restaurant was 75% full. S E R V I C E fantastic. quick and hospitable. the staff members were all friendly and attentive. our lady was so quick to refill out drinks. they didn't even hit the 50% mark and she was already around filling it up. F O O D 2 coke zeros 1 regular coke 2 sweet teas 1 half and half 2 waters combo platter w 1 lb rib and brisket, wet, sweet potatoes casserole, onion rings pulled pork plate, baked beans, Cole slaw brisket plate, mixed, Cole slaw, beans country beef, dry, fried okra (1.20 up charge), slaw pulled pork plate, fries and beans pulled pork plate, fries and Cole slaw all the meats were so tasty. meaty. fresh. fall off the bone. not overly salted. the onion rings were so meaty as well and fried in fresh oil. lightly crispy. the sweet potato casserole is probably one of my favorites of all time. the pecans were perfectly crispy and sweet. the sweet potato was nicely mushy, not overly sweet. it's the perfect amount of sweet/brown sugar that I could eat pounds of it. everything was amazing. flavor profile and textures were all well balanced. not one complaint about the food. both sauces (sweet and mild, and hot bbq) are both nicely balanced and accompany the meat well. TIP: brisket options are two: wet (fattier) vs dry (leaner) B A T H R O O M literally the largest bathroom of all time. ive never seen such a spacious restroom in a bbq restaurant. three stalls in the women's. two sinks. I could've had a whole ballroom dance routine in this bathroom. I could've put a twin sized bed in each stall lmao i absolutely love not being suffocated as I defecate but damn hahaha the bathroom is huge P R I C E average $20pp tip tax
I've dined at Rib Country BBQ a few times, and I've enjoyed myself every time. You definitely can go wrong with barbecue, so it's very important to me that a place serves good food at a reasonable price. Rib Country BBQ does just that. The feel of the restaurant is one of the best things about it. The interior decor evokes the warmth of a cabin in the mountains. I have tried the ribs and the brisket, and both have been very good. Service has also been equally great. This is the place where you can find the archetype of the kind-hearted older southern waitress that'll call you sugar and hon. Side choices are a bit limited. There is no mac n cheese or hush puppies on the menu. That said, I've never been let down by the fries and the baked beans. There's not that many choices for food in Cleveland, so Rib Country BBQ is certainly near the top of my list each time I'm in town.
Definitely love the decorations and ambiance this place gives. It's really welcoming and the service was very good. Came here for lunch to try some lunch specials and got the lunch rib combo. I chose fries and baked beans as my side. Overall the ribs had great seasoning but was either cooked wrong or reheated improperly. It was pretty dry which was a huge let down as the seasoning and sauce were good on the outside. The fries needed some salt but they keep some on the table so that helps. To each their own. Their baked beans also were pretty overdone for me personally. The dessert was very good as we got a fried apple pie with ice cream to go. My co worker enjoyed his burger while we visited. I'd have to give this place another shot sometime as it's so close to being good and may of just been an off day.
Great food, great service, great ambiance! We went here after a hike and this totally satisfied the bbq cravings we had! Everyone here was super friendly and gave us great suggestions. I would recommend the brisket and the ribs. We also tried almost all the sides and nothing disappointed. Their desserts were amazing too, especially the blueberry and apple deserts (I can't remember what they were specifically)!!!
Food was satisfactory. Beans were good and collard greens as well. However smoked chicken and ribs were very spicy (inedible for the kids). It's the crust that is seasoned with is what's spicy. Once you remove that meat is good. Place is between a fast food/sit in pit stop place. Could use some cleaning up. Area where drinks and sauce were was a bit messy/dirty. Service was quick, kitchen moves fast to get food out.
