Poke Star - Clemson

A very nice poke bowl place that serve solid dishes. They are a bit on the expensive side for what they have to offer though.

I’m extremely disappointed to have to write this review. I had made an online order for pick up and due to the clemson game, the roads were blocked and we couldn’t get out there. Later in the evening after the roads were reopened, we called to ask if our order was still there. A girl answered the phone and told us that she had not seen an order for my name and heavily implied it was either stolen or never received in their system. As it was probably 30 minutes before they closed, we decided to wait until the next day to go there and hopefully come to a solution. We arrived there and a man at the counter said that our order was made and had sat out all day yesterday cause no one came to get it. We were told that our order wasn’t even there by a girl the previous day. I’m extremely upset as we did not receive a refund or have our food remade. They didn’t want to remedy the situation for us at all which is extremely disappointing as we were regular, repeat customers on several occasions. There has even been a time where we ordered and the drive was 20 minutes for us but when we got there, there was a woman who said she’d remake our bowls since it had been sitting out “for a while.” We insisted that wasn’t necessary but she showed us so much kindness and I hoped that we would have gotten that when we went in about our problem yesterday. I love to support my local restaurants and establishments but unfortunately, I will not be returning to Poke Star after our last visit.

The food was so good fresh. Service was great. They were patient friendly since this was my first time there took me a bit to choose. It's almost like going to subway with all the choices displayed except it's sushi ingredients. Only downside to this place is the decor in the restaurant bar stools need to be upgraded cause it was all a little worn dated. I definitely can't wait to come back eat this deliciousness again!

The food at this restaurant is absolutely delicious! I was delighted to enjoy such fantastic gluten-free options. I tried the Volcano Bowl and it was amazing (gluten-free option specified).

Super good! I won a gift card to here so I finally had to try it out. I'm just bummed it took me until my senior year to eat here, lol. They got all sorts of options for people with dietary restrictions (vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, cooked fish, etc). I got the Aloha Bowl with shrimp and it was super good. Definitely a great place to frequent on Fridays during Lent.
