What ondrakozubek doesn't like about Ship Shovell:
Went for a pint along London trip. Find this pub by accident when looking for public toilets. Beer on tap “Badger” is OK, but had better. Not tried the kitchen. View all feedback. What User likes about Ship Shovell:
the ship and shovell is quite simply my favorite spot in london. only the bier selection is great - they have badger (of which I am a fan). Secondly, they have canada dry, which is great. I am a marine historian and I love that it is named for cloudesley shovell, from the time I study. I love it in two halves, I love how cozy it is. don't love how it's crowded, but it's great. read moreNestled near Charing Cross, this charming pub offers a blend of old-world charm and a vibrant atmosphere. Patrons appreciate the diverse ambiance between its two parts, showcasing Victorian elegance alongside rustic warmth. The menu features classic pub fare, with standout dishes like fish and chips and traditional pies that offer great value. While some visitors noted inconsistent service and cleanliness, others praised the friendly staff and inviting atmosphere. Ideal for a quick pint or a hearty meal, this hidden gem remains a recommended stop for both locals and tourists seeking an authentic London pub experience.
This place is really cool. I think it’s one of the oldest pubs in London. Great service and cool location…both sides of the alley. So fun.
