What Ellen Treuer doesn't like about Teak Otr:
The food tasted pretty ok but really lacked on spices. My friend and I both ordered 6/7 (out of 10) in spice level and it was barely a 1. I was surprised that they seem to just dump red chili flakes on it vs an oil. The pork belly was almost all fat (yes I know pork belly has a lot of fat , but there was little actual meat) and unseasoned. I'd try them again but would definitely try something else. Excellent food, Thai red salmon special was amazing
Absolutely awful food and service! The Pad Thai was overly sweet and not at all like real Pad Thai. I requested a spice level of 3 out of 10, but it tasted like a 0. Everything was bland. To top it off, we mentioned we had to leave for a show and, after finishing our meal, we waited an eternity for the bill.
We had a wonderful time at Teak. The restaurant is beautiful, staff was very friendly and accommodating and the food was delicious! We'll be back!
Was expecting really great food and was bummed when my pineapple fried rice was only warm and seemed dry and warmed over, not juicy and hot like it would have been made of prepared fresh. My friend liked his Holy Basil dish which seemed fresh and hot. Maybe it was just a one off bad experience but I likely won't be back.
We've visited several Thai restaurants, and this one had the least flavor.
