Adorables, well-run hotel full of character! the room was adorable, the staff was incredibly nice and courteous, and the food was excellent. the bed was comfort... read more Adorables, well-run hotel full of character! the room was adorable, the staff was incredibly nice and courteous, and the food was excellent. the bed was comfortable, parking is free, breakfast and room snacks. it was just a few minutes walk from gedenkhalle (3 minutes to walk) and many great restaurants plus washington park. the next time we have plans in otr, we will definitely stay with the symphony again.

I start with the staff. melissa was so friendly and accommodating that for me it has restored a bit of faith in the humanity. she made my stay so comfortable, I felt like I had stayed there a hundred times before, although that was my first. thank melissa! the accommodations, good, equally fantastic. the building is really, really, fabulous and the mood is from the charts. the room was spacious and well equipped. last, but certainly not least, the parking space. I rarely am even satisfied with the parking situation when I stay places as I am one of the crazy people who care about their vehicle. in symphony I can tell them for the first time in my life I was happy about it! they have a private garage with spacious parking around the corner. it is safe and they give you a fob to come and go as you please. many thanks! I was in the city for a concert, and lower line, I will watch the local music scene to come back an excuse! Another plus point of the hotel is that it is only a few minutes walk from several venues and numerous beautiful restaurants. I hope to see her soon!

O... read more I had dinner at The Symphony for the first time, and it was a great experience. The chicken entrée and yeast rolls were definitely the highlights of the meal! Our server, Shelby, made the experience even better with her attentiveness and willingness to accommodate our requests for minor menu changes. The hostess was also very attentive. My only suggestion would be to consider updating the seating in the dining room; while the historical ambiance is charming, it isn't always comfortable for guests. Overall, I would rate my first visit a solid five stars. Thank you!

However, delivery from the kitchen was slow and the food--at least the food we ordered as part of the three course fixed price menu required here--was very ordinary and in retrospect high priced. Very convenient for a pre-Music Hall dinner but not for us from a value dinner point of view.
