Was Patrick Hartel at Nine Giant a mag?
Small little brewpub with 6-10 tap selections. Grab a menu, find a seat or table and order at the bar. Beer served promptly and food brought to your table. Food was delicious; try the BBQ pork Sammy, NG burger or pesto mac and cheese. Rotating beer menu with a variety of styles to fit most beer palates.Food: 5/5 View all feedback.
What Randal Cartwright dislikes about Nine Giant:
This afternoon, my friend and I visited Nine Giant for lunch. I opted for the wings and we shared some pommel fries. As always, the fries were outstanding, but the wings fell short of expectations. They were dry and overcooked, not resembling the mouthwatering pictures online at all. Sadly, they were nearly inedible. When I inquired about the sauce, I was informed it was already applied, but it was hardly noticeable.... View all feedback.
Can I say enough nice things about nine giant? Nope. Came here for the first time today, got there around 4:30 and stayed until 7:30 with friends. First, it is extremely clean. Second, the food is extremely good. Third, it 's a brewery so I was ready not to like the beer , however I had something delightful with skeleton in the name, it was deliciously fruity. Fourth, all the food was amazing. They have a small and seasonal menu, we had the Mexican street corn, nachos, and pretzel for the table. Fabulous. I had the chicken tikka masala which was perfect, better than I 've had at actual Indian restaurants. Perfectly spicy without going overboard. Portions were generous. Their staff is efficient and clean, they cleaned up anything needed super fast and were friendly. We loved it. Exceeded any expectations I had for a place we just stopped into.
The food and service is great, but space is limited, especially if your party is larger. Just be aware of that during peak times. There's available seating out back which is doable during nicer weather. We had a party of six and there was no seating inside, but thankfully the weather permitted so our group sat behind the bar/restaurant outside. It worked out. The staff is attentive and pleasant. Not a ton of food choices, but everything was delicious on the menu that our party enjoyed. The home-brewed beer is excellent and there's enough flavors to satisfy almost any palette. Parking can be a challenge during busy times. We found a space on the street and there's a paid parking lot across the street for $6.00 which most people opt for. With countless brew pubs that seem to open up on a monthly basis around Cincinnati, this is one you have to check out. Nine Giant is all about the beer and delicious food it seems, which was fine by us. Thanks to the crew at NG for a great experience. We will definitely return to try more drinks and menu items. ?
Cincinnatians are fortunate to have dozens of fine breweries to sample. Most have outstanding beer and a few have excellent food. Nine Giant might be the best combination of the two. They offer a wide range of styles (lagers, ales, sours) that are always on the mark. But visiting only to drink beer is missing half the point as the kitchen serves a solid selection of food choices. A recent visit coincided with a Lenten Friday and we had the best fish lunch I can recall: Panko Haddock and pom frites.
A convenient brewery on Montgomery Road in the heart of Pleasant Ridge providing a very laid back atmosphere with friendly staff. Order at the bar from a small but very good pub fare selection along with your choice of drink, of course. The NG burger had a light and almost fluffy texture and the fries seasoned just right. Try the side of fried pickles with dipping sauce for something different. NG provides 2 rooms for dining for all family members. The tables/chairs/seating configuration inside are a bit sparten and it can get noisy but if these aren't an issue then you will leave a satisfied customer. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
