Gomez Salsa - Cincinnati
Gomez Salsa
Description
At Gomez, opinions diverge sharply. While some patrons rave about the fresh, authentic Mexican cuisine and creative cocktails—particularly praising dishes like the "turtle" and the flavorful margaritas—others express disappointment in poorly prepared meals and lackluster flavors. Complaints about small portion sizes and cold ingredients tarnish the restaurant's reputation, leaving some customers vowing never to return. Despite the cozy atmosphere and commendable service, the inconsistency in food quality remains a significant concern. For those in search of a reliable Mexican dining experience, consider visiting with caution; your taste buds may not agree.

Great alternative. I’m perfectly fine with the draft beer offered, even the Margaritas. Food: casual Mexican tacos, burritos, bowls, etc, but noticeably fresh. Note: I really like spicy Mex and found their Diablo “Turtle” (their spin on a stuffed delivery vessel for the ingredients) was my limit for heat! 3 couples found it to be a great stop before hitting a favorite cocktail bar in My Adams.
The reviews were spot on! The food was absolutely delicious, and we couldn't resist trying the turtle dish. We also ordered a burrito, which was fantastic as well. The margaritas were amazing—Mexicans and margaritas are my favorites, so I always sample them whenever I visit new places. The bartender played a Whitney Houston playlist, and we all sang and danced at the bar. We only wish we knew their names! Thank you for a wonderful night in Cincinnati!
Pretty good. The food concept is really nice. No Coke products tho' hehe. Just street parking.
Our city experience on the search for food led us to a place that I would characterize as a favorite hole in the wall / hidden gems! we loved eating! amazing! try the turtle! peace cheese pita taco something that was fabulous! cozy hip and relaxing atmosphere. we will definitely be back on our next trip!
3 tacos with a turtle 24$?? Tacos were very small no joke 3 bites worth not to mention it felt like I was eating a Taco Bell taco(no meat at all) for a small soft taco equal to 4$ a piece I would of thought the tacos would be fat…not at all was disappointed. However the turtle was spot on as always very good, but the 12$ price tag for the weak tacos was a no go.. not to mention myself and three other customers were waiting outside for the doors to be open ten minutes after 11…my reason for 2 stars
