Gold Star Chili on Reading Road and Tennessee Ave ( 11102021) is the best place for a carryout. The young African American male working the drive thru made the best cookie and cream shake ??. Very Good Customer service for the whole teams there??. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Gold Star Chili:
the food was good, but the drive was a danger. completely covered with ice, about 4 inches. they had a sign that the drive thru was covered with ice. they could have had some salt and should spread. are they so cheap that they can't take care of their drive so that people's foods can safely order from them? that is not the Gold Star to protect in bad weather. I placed an online order and only had to wait for 5 minutes before picking it up. I ordered a coney crate and when I arrived at the restaurant, the person on the intercom was rude and unprofessional. They claimed they couldn't find my order in the computer system, even though I showed them the email confirmation. When I asked for a refund, I encountered a harsh attitude and was told there was nothing they could do. The money had already been taken from my card, but they insisted I contact my card company for a refund. Frustrated by the lack of concern, I asked for the corporate number, which they reluctantly provided. I am extremely disappointed with the poor customer service and will not be purchasing from this company again. It is clear that they need to improve their system for capturing online orders. I plan to dispute the charge and will not be returning.
The food was delicious and the service had also improved since my last visit a few months ago.
Love Gold Star. But it's too messy to eat in your car. Dine in is closed since 2020. Unfortunately I can't go here anymore.
Yummers. I hate hot dogs but I don't know what they do with the Cheese Coney.
I went through the drive thru and placed a 30.00 order, using a Gold Star gift card. I had 50.00 on it, but the drive thru cashier didn't know what he was doing and said in declined. Then, he said he checked with the manager on duty and she said there's no money on the card.I then i had to pull out of the drive through, pull over and call the gift card to check the balance. Just like I already knew, it Said I had 50.00 balance.I then went back through the drive thru and there was another worker who took the time to punch in the card number, which the other worker, just didn't know how to do.That last employee(Lando) did an excellent job. He was very customer centric. He took the time out the manager should have taken to make sure a 30.00 sale didn't unnecessarily walk.Looking back on it, that just shows how some people really don't care about the company making money. If they lose sales like this regularly, no one obviously cares or the owner doesn't know.
