I tried the beef short ribs, and they were gril... read more I recently had my first visit to this restaurant, and I was thoroughly impressed by the delicious soul food BBQ. I tried the beef short ribs, and they were grilled to perfection! This charming little place is a real hidden gem. It evokes the spirit of traditional black neighborhood businesses from the past but with a modern, upscale touch. I really loved my experience and can't wait to return. As of now, they are only offering carry-out, but I look forward to when they reopen for indoor seating, as it would make for a wonderful date night location.

I'd eat there every Thanksgiving Christmas if they were open! Nobody is cooking like this family is! The food was so good I forgot to take a picture.

They tasted a bit salty on the first day, but on the second day, they were just right. The cabbage was cooked perfectly – not overdone at all. I will definitely return!
