Stopped in for a dessert.Baklava: typically made with pecans. ?Baklawa: typically made with pistachios walnuts. ?This is Baklawa from Baladi's and it is scrumptious. I requested a darker piece. It's a little less sweet than Richie's pecan pie.Perfect mild crunch! ?? Pistachios always leave a funny taste in my mouth but it didn't stop me from finishing 1/2 a serving before taking a photo.?The young man was very nice f... View all feedback.
What Ozella Halvorson dislikes about Baladi:
Nothing great. Was excited to eat Syrian food and had heard good things about this place but it was a huge disappointment. Restaurant has zero atmosphere, no music, barely any other customers, few staff, and was kinda dingy. Service was slow. I would overlook it all if the food was something special but it was not. Happy cow would not allow me to give this restaurant 5 stars, but it deserves it. there are several vegan options, easily identified, a so. darn. yummy! the foods were authentic, fresh and arrived (over uber) in record time. the portions are generous and the prices fair. best babanoush I ever had, and everything was wonderful.
I knew it would be good, but I didn't know that it will be good! the fried plant flatbread wrap is excellent. get some baba to spread it. amazing.
I tried to give this restaurant 5 stars on Happy Cow, but it wouldn't let me. However, it definitely deserves the top rating. There are many vegan options that are clearly marked and incredibly delicious. The dishes were fresh and authentic, and they arrived quickly through Uber. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. The babaganoush was the best I've ever had, and all of the food was fantastic.
