Fantastic food and customer service! My son and I were there visiting the Children's Hospital and decided to try out a local sushi spot. Sometimes you are sent places for a reason. We sat at the sushi bar (very small) and he was so excited to watch. After ordering our rolls the chef decided to create his own for us based on all the others we ordered! My goodness was it delicious. Love this place, highly recommend! View all feedback.
What Whitney V doesn't like about Asiana Hyde Park:
For dinner, we went to grab some sushi where the small dining area still allowed us to be sat right away. The waitress was wonderful and the food didn't take long at all for us to receive after ordering. We ordered the coconut shrimp for an appetizer which was very good with the sweet sauce that it was served with. The only thing I would have changed was getting sushi instead of one of their other entrees. We got som... View all feedback.
I was in town for business and saw this little spot just down from my hotel. It's a tiny little dinning room but it seems to do the trick. My server was super shy. He quickly let me know he was new. Having said that, he did a nice job. I wasn't expecting a fine dining experience. As long as my food came out in a timely manner and he checked on me from time to time, I'd be fine. I was hungry so I ordered a few things to sample and try. My first item was the Thai Spring Rolls. They came out quickly. Two crispy, flavorful bites! Things were off to a good start. Next up was the Shrimp Tempura Roll and Eel Nigiri. The sushi rolls and pieces are super small compared to most places I've eaten. While it was ok, I would not say this is the best sushi I have ever had. My expectations were pretty high after reading some of the other reviews. To hear some people talk, this sushi should have knocked my socks off. I would label it as a little below average. I base this on the tiny size and average taste. To be honest, I'm not from Cincinnati so maybe this is the best place to get sushi in the city. I'd be surprised if it is. The main dish was the chicken panang curry. Level 7 heat. This dish took forever to come out. I couldn't understand why? It was me and one other couple in the entire restaurant so it wasn't because they were busy. I kept sitting and hoping this would be worth the wait. Once the dish arrived it was nicely presented. It only took one bite of the smooth, rich curry to realize this was going to be good. Panang curry is one of those dishes I have learned to make very well so I have some big expectation for this dish. I feel it was spot on! I highly recommend this dish. One point of observation. Two of the employees sat at the sushi bar and talked during my entire dining experience. They acted like a romantic couple. I mention it because it was a distraction. To see my server rubbing her leg and then going in the back to bring out my food was a little off putting. I would recommend keeping the place professional. Leave the work romance out of the customers view. Overall, my experience was positive. I wouldn't come back here for the sushi but I wouldn't hesitate to comeback for the other Thai dishes. I downgraded my rating based on the owners response to my review. Rather than take accountability for my experience, he chose to provide me an excuse. He didn't even seem concerned about the issues I voiced. This is not a restaurant I would return to based on his lack of appropriate response.
Asiana has some of my favorite Pad Thai in Cincinnati. It's comfort food at its finest. They also have sushi, and I love their Thai crab ragoons. The restaurant is BYOB with no corking fee, so bring your favorite bottle of wine! The restaurant is small and it sometimes takes a while to be served, but it's worth your patience.
Came here with the hubby and sister while in town for the weekend. Searched up a Thai spot and this was highly recommended, so we jumped in the car and flew down to check it out. They have a small lot in the back for parking which was amazing because they are located in the city-like area. Walked in to a cozy really cute spot and was greeted immediately. I ordered shrimp tempura sushi as an appetizer.... BOMB!! The spring roll and coconut was also nice I didn't even get a chance to take pictures because we were so hungry). Took some time for the food to come out but baby.... Everything was a HIT! The flavor was there and so was the spice level. My pad see ew noodles weee a bit too soft so they became soggy after a few bites but it was all good! Would definitely recommend to all Thai lovers
Food 4/5 In all, we ordered the rainbow roll, a green tea, chicken pad thai, tofu pad see ew, and Thia teas to go. The real hidden gem on this menu is the BYOB of uncorked wine. The rainbow roll was nice and rolled tightly. The chicken pad thai came to the requested spice level and had a good flavor. Tofu pad see ew was standard but had unique triangle shaped tofu. I have a sweet tooth and was excited for dessert Thai tea. Service 5/5 The service was phenomenal! The waitress quickly brought out water and took our order. Our sushi appetizer came out faster than expected with one chef (in other restaurants, sushi can be slow). The food came out hot and super fast. Ambiance 3.5/5 It's a small, clean, and well organized space. A few spots are a little tight to navigate, but the lucky bamboo at each table is a nice touch that lightens up the room. They have a tremendous textured accent wall.
We got some special rolls, but we were hoping for less tails of shrimp and crab legs and more flavor/spice.
