we ordered mixed grill from sorted meat to share well marinated, full of flavor, smokey taste, supplemented with traditional chimichurri sauce, beautiful dressed salate and crispy chips. reminded me of the time when I had fleshy parrillas on a road in buenos aires. a glass mate would accompany it well. What User doesn't like about El Fogon Grill:
I have bought the same Brisket menu with Pure rustico for the last 4 weeks, being to go. Unfortunately the last two occasions have been quite disappointing. 2 weeks ago, the amount of meat was less than usual and it was very dry, which I noticed when I got home. And yesterday, Sunday 05/22, I ordered 2 brisket with 4 portions of rustic puree, the sauce did not come. disappoint. View all feedback.
The $16 lunch special offers good value for the money. While the quality of the meat is average, the cooking skills more than make up for it, especially considering the price. However, they do charge $2 for the spicy sauce, which would be a nice addition if it were complimentary.
This restaurant is fantastic! We visit El Fogon Grill every time we're in Christchurch and always order the parrillada—a wonderful assortment of grilled meats for two. The chef, Ankush, is truly a master at his craft and cooks the meat to perfection. Thank you! This is my top choice for casual dining in Christchurch.
One of the best steakhouses I've ever visited! I was truly impressed by the chef's skill and the tenderness of the meat. The price is very reasonable too—$37 for a 400g Angus ribeye. They also offer other more affordable options that I haven't tried yet, so I can't comment on those. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!
The food is sooooo good since we moved we haven't been here as much but the visit today reminded of what we are missing so will be back more often.
Perfectly seasoned and grilled: forgot to ask which part is the beef cut from, it’s flavorsome and juicy! Love that grilled chicken too
