City Cafe Asian Cuisine - Christchurch

The food is outstanding. Best Asian food I have eaten in NZ. There is one lady who does everything, from cooking to customer service, so be prepared to wait 40-60 mins for food. Well worth the wait, looking forward to going back! 1000% reccomend

Fantastic little gem, hidden away behind the tired sign. This food is the most delicious I’ve had in Christchurch yet- and I can see why the reviews are so good. The lady cooking is a one man band- arguably more impressive than AFG who has a whole crew behind the scenes). The wait is worth it. We had the fried rice and curry laksa. Definitely coming back.

Food was so delicious and very reasonably priced! Would definitely recommend. They do only take local debit cards and cash, so if you’re from out of town make sure to bring cash!!

Best Chinese food in the city. I lived in Beijing for 2 years, this cousin no different from Beijing. Very simple, small place, similar to Chinese small restaurants in Beijing. If you are fancy person, do jot go there, you wont be impressed, but if you do not mind how the place looks and you want real, very good Chinese food, do not miss this place. Operated by one lady, one lady show.
