What Clarissa Paucek doesn't like about Din Tai Fung:
Din Tai Fung requires no introduction, it is a household name worldwide renowned for its mouth-watering soup dumplings, aka Xiao Long Bao. Nothing special and not that tasty. Compared to places in the area this is over priced and average. Not a huge fan at all. Better to go near by to China Town and get some real dumplings.

Good food, polite service, lively atmosphere. Couldn't ask for much more. I tried the chilli fried chicken and pork bun - both were fantastic.
Love the dumplings here - there is such a wide range of dumplings to try (all super tasty)! My favourite is still the classic xiao long baos, but they always come up with innovative limited edition dumplings once in a while, such as the giant xiao long baos and the dumpling roulette.
Im not one to eat dumplings when dining out but hear this eatery makes them very well. For $10.80, it marginalises itself to other dumpling places on price, and for 6 pretty small pieces, i had high expectations. Luckily, all the flavours were there. Dip in soy sauce, place on spoon, poke a hole, let the juices flow and eat. Had the pork option and its was very nice! Good service and location. Come here once in a while i think.
