Va Va Vegan - Chiltern
Va Va Vegan
Description
Nestled in Amersham, Va Va Vegan has garnered a reputation for its diverse plant-based offerings. While many diners laud its warm service and creative dishes like the Buddha bowl, others have faced inconsistent experiences, from overly spicy sauces to indifferent staff. Despite some criticism regarding under-seasoned meals and a lack of clear menu options, the restaurant's commitment to veganism and delightful ambiance appeals to those seeking healthy alternatives in the area. Overall, Va Va Vegan stands out as a worthy stop for fresh, flavorful vegan cuisine, albeit with room for improvement in service and menu clarity.

Brilliant vegan food was served here. Such a shame it has closed. Venue too small for Covid; probably why it had closed.
We had a fantastic family dinner at Va Va Vegan. Our daughter, who is vegan, normally chooses where we eat, but this time we decided to let her choose. We were not disappointed! Despite the busy restaurant, the service was warm and friendly. I was pleased to see they also offer a small selection of vegan products like soaps and brushes, which we usually only find at vegan markets. We will definitely be returning.
After waiting a long time for our meal, we were excited to finally enjoy our food. However, when we requested ketchup and Tabasco for our burgers, we were surprised to receive an extremely hot ghost chili sauce instead, with no warning from our waitress. If we had known how spicy it was, we could have been prepared, but it was not at all like Tabasco. Our mouths were burning! It seemed like they should have known what they were serving. To make matters worse, the service was cold and indifferent, which made us wonder if it had something to do with our appearance.
Lovely atmosphere, happy staff, great coffee! And all environmentally friendly! Nicest flat white i’ve ever had, will be back :
