The H... read more There was a good choice on the menu.The food was excellent:well cooked and well presented and hot. The service was also impeccable:friendly and efficient. The Hit or Miss has the perfect setting for a country pub:lovely location and the advantage of easy parking.Comfortable inside with good spacing of tables allowing one actually to hear the conversation of dining companions! The pub has a lovely rural setting yet is only a short drive from Amersham. Overall a classic English pub with good food and in a super rural setting. As a regular patron of Pubs in the Chilterns over many years,I would say the Hit or Miss deserves a top billing.
