Was Dorothy S at Boot Slipper a mag?
The team kindly rescued our party of 4 by accommodating a walk in at lunchtime. Our planned destination had turned us away due to booking error. A bit quiet, and service slow at first but improved, and staff very pleasant. Food good, although some items not available from menu. Enjoyable overall View all feedback.
What Λουίζα Μανιάκης dislikes about Boot Slipper:
Server recommended the vegan tomatoe soup for me as I am vegan. The soup came with non vegan butter which I had to a ask about else they'd have just left me to eat it. The waitress took the butter away at my request but...didn't return with any replacement bread which I paid for? The mains were poor. Bun was sticky from the jam and the beetroot burger didn't taste nice at all. Aubergine was undercooked. The triple co... View all feedback.

We went to the Boot Slipper with our elderly mothers for lunch and was greeted by Luke who kindly found a quiet table with easy access. He was very helpful when choosing our order and as our mothers don’t have big appetites said they could have a child’s portion which was just perfect! Perhaps this could be rebranded as something for those of you who have a small appetite- applicable to young and old? We had the roast beef and pork both of which were delicious followed by the peach crumble and coffee and a small dessert, again delicious. I would highly recommend the Boot Slipper and would like to thank Luke for his friendly, helpful service, although the other staff were lovely too. The fact the meal was such great value was an added bonus! We all look forward to another visit very soon 10 10
Had a very lovely meal and amazing service from Rihanna
Lovely gastro pub with generous portion sizes and helpful serving staff. We were served by Luke who gave us a great recommendation for their lamb shank shepherd's pie.
Well that was a treat. Luke (our waiter) served us so well. The food was absolutely delicious and we enjoyed a perfect lunchtime meal.
Once again first class. Service was super, staff are so friendly. Thanks Luke.

Visited the boot yesterday with my mum, dad, wife and month old daughter. I've been many times but this visit was particularly good. The food was fantastic with plenty of choice. The kids menu was brilliant and the dish I got for my daughter...was very nicely presented. The staff were all extremely friendly and on the ball. Soph looked after us while we were there and she was amazing. Really enjoyed the visit and will be returning again soon.
We had a really enjoyable meal here on Valentines Day, the table was specially decked out and we sat near to a lovely warm (real fire (thank you to whoever has to look after those fires Food was delicious and beautifully presented and the service...was excellent. We couldn't resist returning for Sunday lunch today, again a warm welcome from the great staff here and friendly and excellent service from Emma and Sophie. We enjoyed our roast dinners and I'm sure will be back for more soon! Thank you all for your hard work.
Book a table online for a Valentines meal ! On arrival given a warm welcome and shown to a very well presented table ! Fantastic meal and excellent service from Emma Sam ! They were there when they were needed and totally committed to...making our evening special. Beautiful food, fresh, well presented and just the right size portions. All in all a memorable evening and we're very sure to revisit !
The service by Emma was excellent, the food (beef burger) was great, and the atmosphere (quiet and peaceful) was perfect. This is one of my go-to pubs in the area. There's always a warm welcome and speedy seating followed by service that makes me feel...like the staff put themselves in my shoes.
Our Social Group meet regularly and chose to have a meal last night. The staff were excellent, the food good too and we certainly be having another such evening again soon.

I dined at this restaurant with my family and had a wonderful experience. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. They were very accommodating when we requested some small changes. We all enjoyed our time there and will definitely be going back.

Excellent service as always. Adam is just so hospitable and friendly. He gives everyone the customer service and care they need just impressive watching him he really is an asset to the Boot and Slipper. Nothing is too much trouble and it’s just fresh air to see this service. Very important to acknowledge this often customers are quick to complain but not to commend so please do commend. If you need any further information please don’t hesitate to let me know.
Nice pub. Food was great. No table service, you have to order everything at the bar, service was ok a couple of mistakes made but nothing major and sorted quickly. Lots of big outdoor tables with comfortable seats, Garden well looked after with lots of pretty flowering plants. Large carpark.
Great pub food and drink, gardens to sit outside, friendly staff, large car park would recommend booking in advance.

This restaurant is part of the Chef and Brewer chain. I have visited other locations in the chain and unfortunately, I do not find this one as good as the others. The menu is pretty standard and similar to the others I have been to. The quality of the food has been inconsistent for me, but the burgers are decent. The desserts have been a bit disappointing, especially the rhubarb crumble which had more custard than crumble. However, the two-course menu for £10 is good value for the money.
The Boot and Slipper is a chain-style pub that offers fast and friendly service. The staff are efficient, despite the busy atmosphere, and they even recommended a nearby budget-friendly option. The establishment is well-maintained, with clean toilets and a tidy overall appearance. The prices are on the higher side, but the food is good value and served in generous portions. The addition of a cigarette machine post-smoking ban is a unique touch. With ample parking and a pleasant beer garden, it's a nice spot to visit in the summer.
