The owner, “glamorous, uninterested lady of the house”, told us that the place was full, despite a booking email that we had. She rolled her eyes by reading it and showed us a parking space on the front of the reception to “Camp”. Apparently they do not even have a reservation book or do not understand the principle of it. But of course we could pay in advance... The bar was closed, the owner was NIE at her desk, but swimming in sight. This made people wait for hours and blocked the camp park (before our door of course). Really a place to be ashamed. Luckily I see on the Internet everyone shares the same feeling. Somehow, they will never see us again.

The hotel is located in... read more If you want to get a slow pace of camping experience where you can get REALLY a chance to calm down and relax, this is next to perfect. The hotel is located in a very small village, and only accessible via a single path very small road, this campsite is well hidden and directly on the shores of Lake Chiemsee. We were very well received by the extremely busy but always very friendly hosts. The place was full, but we could stay once and move the next. Our stay at Seehäusl was very nice, the place is quiet, you can hear horses and insects from the nearby area, and the lake is totally quiet on a summer morning is stunning. Always well received at the reception with our inqueries. There are a few points that prevent this place top score.. Wi-Fi is not included and quite expensive. But does not even cover the entire campsite. And if you pay, you are forced to log in and out and not even how to log out. Seriously, WiFi should be flat rate and coverage good. Men's toilet facilities do not seem too par with women.. no place to dry hands. Shower heads are not determinable. No facilities for children. For some reasons, lights are activated, but go in bathroom and toilet rooms after a few minutes. So if you have to go at night, you're better fast. Or bring a light.. Finally, the reception is not occupied several times as this is a family business. Especially in the morning between 915 and 10, if you have to check out, this can be annoying. We didn't use the restaurant this time, but it looked nice. Spectacular view.

The size of the portions is good, but the price is somewhat too high. The service was ok, but nothing special and the kitchen closes already at 9 a.m. so early. In high season it is recommended to reserve a table in advance... Overall rating is good.

The beach is up, but bathing shoes are a must because the stones are very hurt at the feet. Pizza from the restaurant was good and the price Ok. The biggest problem is mosquitoes, so always mosquitoes. Sanitary facilities are fine and clean. Even in dogs there are no problems. Shops approx.3 km, easily accessible by bike. It would be nice if the operator would completely counter the reservation fee and not only half.
