The owner, “glamorous, uninterested lady of the house”, told us that the place was full, despite a booking email that we had. She rolled her eyes by reading it and showed us a parking space on the front of the reception to “Camp”. Apparently they do not even have a reservation book or do not understand the principle of it. But of course we could pay in advance... The bar was closed, the owner was NIE at her desk, but swimming in sight. This made people wait for hours and blocked the camp park (before our door of course). Really a place to be ashamed. Luckily I see on the Internet everyone shares the same feeling. Somehow, they will never see us again.

The hotel is located in a very small village, and only accessible via a single path very small road, this campsite is well hidden and directly on the shores of Lake Chiemsee. We were very well received by the extremely busy but always very friendly hosts. The place was full, but we could stay once and move the next. Our stay at Seehäusl was very nice, the place is quiet, you can hear horses and insects from the nearby area, and the lake is totally quiet on a summer morning is stunning. Always well received at the reception with our inqueries. There are a few points that prevent this place top score.. Wi-Fi is not included and quite expensive. But does not even cover the entire campsite. And if you pay, you are forced to log in and out and not even how to log out. Seriously, WiFi should be flat rate and coverage good. Men's toilet facilities do not seem too par with women.. no place to dry hands. Shower heads are not determinable. No facilities for children. For some reasons, lights are activated, but go in bathroom and toilet rooms after a few minutes. So if you have to go at night, you're better fast. Or bring a light.. Finally, the reception is not occupied several times as this is a family business. Especially in the morning between 915 and 10, if you have to check out, this can be annoying. We didn't use the restaurant this time, but it looked nice. Spectacular view.
