We were there on April 1st, 2026 (no joke) at noon; according to the website it's open all year round in good weather, but it was closed (it was slightly cloudy, people were hiking along Lake Chiemsee).

The Wegmacher restaurant is always a good choice when you're at Lake Chiemsee in Chieming. It's located right on the lake and offers a fantastic view of both the lake and the Alps. The atmosphere is lovely. The food is very good and the staff are very friendly.
