Description

Step through the door of Six Bells and into a lively, character-packed village pub where hearty portions, good beer and genuine hospitality take center stage. Six Bells champions traditional comfort food — think succulent pork belly ribs, cheesy garlic bread and Sussex favourites — served with enthusiasm and excellent value. With snug alcoves, an open fire, a leafy garden and regular live music, it’s a place for relaxed Sunday lunches, convivial evenings and motorbike meet-ups alike. Expect friendly staff, a well-curated drinks list (including local bitter and gluten-free options) and an atmosphere that feels like home-away-from-home.

My favorite place to have a relaxed and tasty Sunday meal. Have been going here for years, always have the Sussex smokie so can only rate that, but it is amazing. My husband always has the ribs, which look yummy. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Lovely welcoming village pub, popular with motorcyclists, motor enthusiasts of all types. Good live music venue. Great value, well cooked pub food. Doesn't try to be something it isn't, ie a gastro pub. Also had gluten free beer on tap, the Gun Brewery Scaramanga which was a massive bonus. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I have been visiting the Six Bells for a long time now and love it's quirkiness, pictures of motorcycles and country matters, open fires, music room and friendly staff all add to the ambiance of this terrific public house. Vegetarian options: They do special menus but ask and I am sure they can accommodate. Parking: There is plenty of parking spaces but sometimes the Bells is packed and the car park around the corner can be used. Kid-friendliness: Inside or out in the garden families can be seen enjoying their meals.

Wow, what amazing food! I ordered the pork ribs and received a portion that could easily feed a family of six. Alright, I may be exaggerating a bit, but the serving size was substantial. Absolutely delightful. Price per person: £10-£20. Food: 5/5. Service: 5/5. Atmosphere: 5/5. Recommended dishes: Pork Belly Ribs, Sussex Best Bitter Harveys.
