The homemade noodles were fantastic. Unfortunately, they were out of dumplings. The beef burger was tasty, but it was a bit on the dry side. I would definitely recommend trying the noodles! View all feedback.
What BARNETT FUNG doesn't like about Xi'an Cuisine:
This is a lovely, cozy restaurant with very affordable prices. There is plenty of street parking available, and many tables to choose from. While most orders are takeout, the dine-in experience is also quite pleasant. They offer a full menu, and I even noticed some Caucasian customers enjoying their meals, and the couple beside me spoke Mandarin fluently. Overall, I would rate the food a 3 out of 5. This place needs more attention. Their flat bread sandwiches (rou jia mo) is delicious. Bread is perfect. If you’re familiar with mainland Chinese food you’ll find these items on the streets of Beijing in the morning rush as people are off to work. Taste just like I remembered 10 years ago. The hand pulled noodles are yummy as well. There most definitely is a difference in fresh noodles over dried packaged ones. The lamb skewers are more meatier than other Chinatown locations. Staff is your typical Chinese Place, so don’t be a Karen and just enjoy the food!
Small mom and pop shop. We were really craving Xi'an Famous Food's lamb burger and stumbled upon Xi'an Cuisine! We ordered their lamb burger and it was piping hot. It wasn't too spicy, but it was more minced lamb which didn't really carry a lot of lamb flavor but it was good! I highly recommend checking Xi'an Cuisine out! The staff was super friendly and noticed that when we didn't speak Mandarin, they were able to have a different staff member speak English to us. We were fully prepared to just point at things to order though, but that was nice of them!
羊肉烩面 hand stretch noodles with lamb is pretty good, noodles are fresh made. Side dishes are tasty
Great hand pulled noodles. Went with the wide spicy noodles and they didn't disappoint.
We ate at the restaurant on a Thursday evening. Only one other party was there but should have been packed. The menu was amazing with items not usually seen. Prices were more than fair and every thing we ordered was perfect. Don't miss the egg drop soup!!
