What Habey Baby dislikes about Take A Bao Eats:
Such a bummer. Spent $30 on food and only the dumplings were worth eating. Drove all the way here and it's not even a sit in restaurant, just a to go place which we didn't see anywhere on google. The s'mores bao had no marshmallow in it and almost no chocolate. The pork belly bao is inedible, don't recommend. no exaggeration, it was 98% fat. We got one bite that had meat in it. Average. The bao was thick and lacked flavor, and the chicken was dry. The dipping sauce was simply soy sauce in a cup.

On the positive side, I appreciated the kind note included with my order, as other reviews have mentioned. The packaging was also well done. However, I found the taste to be underwhelming. I tried the chili oil dumplings and two baos (fried chicken and fried shrimp). The dumplings were quite average, lacking both spice and flavor. As for the baos, while the chicken and shrimp were decent and the buns were alright, overall they just didn’t have enough taste. The vegetables came simply sliced and raw, without any dressing, and the spicy aioli was not as impactful as I had hoped; it wasn’t spicy at all, which some may consider a plus. Adding soy sauce to the baos did enhance their flavor a bit. Given the many positive reviews, I was expecting more. I hope the restaurant continues to refine their recipes in the future.
