I love shrimp. This place has really good breaded shrimp. The breading is not too thick and it's nicely even and crispy. A lot of places cut the shrimp down the middle so there is more surface area for the breading. Therefore your paying for more breading and less shrimp. What rob doesn't like about South Side Shrimp:
I would consider their shrimp good but not great. There is too much breading, and the sauce is nothing to write home about. I think this is a tradition in this area, but I don't get the hype. There are better options close around there for shrimp, unfortunately. This isn't one of them. Hence only three stars for me.Food: 3/5 View all feedback.

Never disappoints! Friendly workers, great food. Our family doesn’t go anywhere else for shrimp and fish dinners!!

It was my first time here. Food was so good. Wish I’d order more. They had ran out of jumbo shrimp so I got the medium ones. They were still good. And the catfish strips were the awesome as well.
