What OpenTable Diner dislikes about SoJu BBQ:
Service could have been better. Waitress seemed annoyed to take our order. Had long wait times and half of the entrée ordered was bone so the portion was tiny. The check had a 15% service fee and when I asked what it was, a staff member said they weren’t sure. Odd vibe. View all feedback.
Food was so bomb I absolutely loved it, also loved that they had halal options on the menu since it it so hard to find authentic halal Korean in Chicago. The place itself is quite small and it usually very full so make sure you reserve before hand and skip the hour wait.
Cured my hunger pangs immediately. The brisket didn’t make it but this bulgogi and spicy chicken on the sampler did. Halal, healthy, and yummy.
I recently visited the restaurant and ordered the bulgogi with rice. It was delicious, but I found it to be a bit too salty for my taste due to the excessive amount of soy sauce.
Great food and even better experience! Highly recommend, will be back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
3rd time coming to Soju BBQ and I’ll be back again and telling my friends to go. Got the Korean Fried Chicken, Garlic Rice, Beef Short Ribs amongst other things. All fantastic. And equally awesome were the servers. If you plan to eat a lot do yourself a favor and do the All You Can Eat. I almost didn’t see it in the menu! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Service: Dine in
