The food here feels truly authentic, so it's best to come with an open mind. We tried the goat, beef, and fish alongside the jollof rice, which was delicious. I would recommend the Jollof rice, beef and Spinach or Plantains. Everyone was friendly, Attentive, and fast service. Can’t wait to go back again.
I wish I did a dine-in instead of take out from this restaurant. It was so refreshing to walk into an African restaurant and receive good, professional treatment. I loved how patient and helpful the server was with us. I ordered amala and ewedu and the price was worth it for the size of the food. Overall I will definitely visit this place again when I'm in Chicago. Would 8/10 recommend.
It's been about two years since I ate there. They were still a kind of new restaurant at the time. I love the atmosphere and the attitude of the owners. My only gripe, is they don't open, until night time, when I'm at work.
Yes! If you're looking for a place to take non Africans that want Nigeria food, look no further. They had me from the free chin chin on each table.
I am always down to try good African food and Simi's did not disappoint! They have limited vegetarian options, but made sure that everything I ordered didn't contain any dietary restricted items! The service here is amazing and so were the jollof and plantains! I will be back for sure!
