Nestled in the neighborhood, Red June Cafe is a charming, dog-friendly coffee shop known for excellent coffee, generously portioned breakfast sandwiches, croissants and pastries, smoothies and standout chicken salad. With a walk-up window, plentiful outdoor seating and Wi‑Fi, it’s a cozy spot for remote work, meetups or quick delivery. Service can be slow during busy times and staff interactions have reportedly varied; eco-minded diners may object to styrofoam packaging. Overall it’s a beloved local gem with quirky decor, great value and a warm, casual vibe.

Was John Doe at Red June a mag?
I'm from out of state. At first I was a skeptic. I ordered the breakfast burrito and a coffee. And as soon as I opened my bag and looked inside...WOW. Fresh fruit cup. Big hearty breakfast burrito. Chips, salsa, and sour cream. Excellent, Excellent, Excellent!!!! Come here!!! Eat!!! Enjoy!!! View all feedback.
What McKenzie Miller dislikes about Red June:
This is such a cute coffee shop, and just what the neighborhood needs! Great coffee, yummy foods. However I’ve deducted stars because WHY do they use styrofoam for all of their food dishes?! It will be the tiniest little bagel inside of a gigantic styrofoam container. It’s such a waste and makes me not want to go back. The service is also a bit slow so I recommend not going if you’re in a rush. View all feedback.
The ideal coffee shop in the neighborhood! The staff is friendly, and the coffee and food are excellent. I especially enjoy the breakfast burritos and the walk-up window during the summer and fall.
Red June is the perfect local coffee shop. The food and coffee are fantastic, and I particularly love their donuts and glazed croissants. They have a convenient walk-up window on McLean, making it easy for me to stop by with my dog in the morning to pick up coffee to go. During the warmer months, we've enjoyed sitting at the outdoor tables. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, and they always give my dog a treat when we visit.
My son and I enjoy visiting this place in the morning or after school. I absolutely adore the blueberry lavender lemonade in the summer and the hot caramel apple cider in the fall and winter! The caprese avocado toast is my favorite breakfast when I come here!
