While visiting Chicago, we discovered this restaurant through Google. It was about a 30-minute drive from our accommodation, but it was definitely worth it! The highlight of our meal was the carne frita, which we absolutely loved. We also enjoyed tostones, maduros, arroz con gandules, chuleta, bacalaitos, pastelillos, and sorrulos. The food was mediocre this time, not up to its usual standards. However, it was a pleasant surprise to have a band playing on a Saturday afternoon, as they typically only perform on Sundays. The service was excellent, although the restaurant was uncomfortably cold inside that day. View all feedback.
Ordered takeout from here today and OMG the best decision I have made this whole quarantine.
Fantastic place the food is phenomenal and it's a great place very good and fair prices on all food
The Bistec was kinda kinda flavorless. The Alcapurias were great.
We ordered food for 2 for doordash delivery, took about 1 hour to get food which was acceptable, no utensils were provided and we were not in a place that had them, COMPLETE FAIL at this point I wasted $75 to eat like a caveman, they did however send a ton of napkins I'm guessing I missed the memo, tried to phone the resturant only to get voice-mail that was full not accepting messages. Never again ponce will I eat at your resturant, get your act together!
