I say this place is a must! I've been coming to Old Fashioned Donuts for years, and it still has the same wonderful mouthwater taste as before all those years. Do yourself a favor and COME THROUGH! I grew up around this place. I believe many businesses are still lagging behind the Pandemic. Perhaps it was a lack of staffing, it didn't smell like a bakery either! I really hate to see this place fall through the cracks of time. And our donuts were hard to the touch! Trying to nibble some was awful, like getting cold fries in a drive thru. This was my after-school place to go to in the 70's for the melt in your mouth giant glazed donuts . They also had the foot long polish sausage .
The best donuts in the Chicago and Indiana area. I love the panic of hoping they don't run out of donuts on Saturdays!
The donuts here are incredibly delicious! We visited today for a friend's birthday, and she had been eager to try these donuts. They definitely lived up to the hype! I highly recommend checking them out!
Always fantastic! I've been coming here since I was a teenager, and I still love it. The flavors are just as great as they were when I was younger—nothing has changed. Thank you! The owner is a wonderful person who is actively involved in making everything happen; I truly appreciate him for that. Thank you, sir, for all the years of service to all of us. You're amazing!
My only issue is how difficult it is for me to reach this place. Aside from that, the care and attention put into the food are exceptional. I drove an hour and a half to get these donuts, and I'm glad I finally made the trip. I don't usually like apple fritters, but my friend wanted one, and we both sat there in silent bliss, nodding in approval with every bite.
