We were looking for a BYOB place for a larger group.

So, 8 years later I gave this place another chance, and it was OK 3.5 stars for that meal But the last time I went, they lost the reservation.

The food is good, the ambient is cozy and elegantThe 2 stars are because they charge 4 dollars for using your credit card.

I have a fondness for Mythos, but my recent visit was not the best. In the past, they served fresh, homemade bread to start off your meal, but on this occasion, it tasted store-bought and lacked flavor. Our group ordered three appetizers, six entrees, and sampled every dessert. The standout dessert was the Greek yogurt and fruit. I opted for the cod special, which was not cooked thoroughly and was too oily. I hope this was just a rare occurrence, as Mythos has always been my go-to for authentic Greek cuisine in the city.

The food is good but the service was spotty and it took an interminably long time to get our entrees. Even though we ordered one of the homemade items that the menu warns will take 45 minutes, it was more than an hour before the food arrived. The dining room was mostly full and it didn't look like anyone had much in the way of food on their tables. Our server came by very infrequently and it appeared that only two servers were handling the entire restaurant. The proprietors are warm and welcoming but the inconsistent service and kitchen delays will keep us from returning very soon.
