Mott St. - Chicago
Mott St.
Description
Mott Street is a unique Asian fusion restaurant in Wicker Park, Chicago that offers a mix of creative and fascinating dishes. While some may find certain dishes slightly sweet and buttery, the overall food quality and service are excellent. The atmosphere is enjoyable, making it a great spot for a gathering with friends. The menu is shareable, with standout items like coconut pancakes, eggplant Benedict, salmon Benedict, and Ricotta doughnuts. The burger is highly recommended, although there seems to be some confusion about ordering it past 7 pm. Despite some mixed experiences with the service and unexpected hard shell pieces in the spicy broth, Mott Street remains a favorite among many diners for its delicious food and welcoming ambiance.

Went in for lunch, on a Sunday because we had heard so much about the Mott St Burger. It did not dissapoint. There was a vegetarian version that substituted jackfruit for the meat. Although I did not have it myself I'm told it was excellent. Although the restaurant was packed they were very accommodating, did not rush us, and made excellent suggestions for shareable appetizer and desert. Enjoyed dinner, food was delicious, crispy cauliflower and mushrooms were great highlights along with all the seafood dishes we ordered. Staff was excellent and very attentive. The desserts were a bit savory for our taste, but the dinner food more than made up for it. Very curious to try their burger (bar only). Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
