The food at Miller's Pub is outstanding. Our server, Kelly, was fantastic—she made our dining experience truly enjoyable with her fun personality and attentive service. We make it a point to visit Miller's whenever we’re in Chicago. The specials are fantastic, and there are so many great options on the regular menu; you can't go wrong with any choice. The staff is wonderful, and host Jeff is a favorite, too—he may look a bit grumpy, but he's really a nice guy. This is a must-visit spot whether you're going to a show or just exploring the city. I highly recommend Miller's Pub!
Miller's Pub: A Chicago Staple My experience at Miller's Pub was beyond magnificent. It was stellar! Kenneth, my waiter, was the best fit for me, and he did more than just serve me. He helped me to navigate those ever fluctuating waters known to so many as hunger. Oh yes, I was hungry alright, but for what, I just could not decide. When faced with this particular dilemma while out to eat, I usually refer to my server if I feel that they have similar tastes to my own. Kenneth and I are kindred spirits, so I let him take the lead and he suggested that I order the half rack of ribs, the spanakopida, and the cole slaw, to which I agreed with the addition of a Tom and Jerry (they are in season being that it was almost winter time) as my aperitif and their local dark ale to pair with my entrée. The ribs were smokey, tender, and juicy. The spanakopida was crispy, buttery, and flaky on the outside, yet tender and slightly cheesy on the inside. It was, hands down, the best spinach pie I have ever had. The cole slaw was, and still remains, the best I have ever eaten. The addition of pineapple as their sweetener for this recipe is inspired. As for my dessert, I had some very delectable options to choose from, but my eyes and that of my server kept going back to their key lime pie, which was, of course, the absolute best I have ever had. Even the presentation was great! A fresh custard style key lime pie, on a fresh made butter flake pie crust, fresh made whipped cream, and freshly grated lime on a purposely chilled dessert plate. To sum up my entire experience at Miller's Pub: Miller's Pub is full of rich history, delicious comfort food, classic drinks, and fantastic memories. I highly recommend Miller's Pub to anyone with an appetite for greatness. Cheers!!!
I sat at the bar and ordered an Irish coffee along with their special Tom and Jerry drink. Both drinks were fantastic, and the Tom and Jerry is definitely a must-try. My bartender, Kevin, was great and even made a small sample of the Tom and Jerry for me to taste. I also ordered fried calamari; while the portion was generous, it was a bit on the salty side. Overall, I had a wonderful experience here.
First and foremost, make sure to make a reservation! We stayed next door at the Palmer Hotel. The food, service, and decor were all excellent! Don't miss the Tom and Jerry cocktail—it's unique and delicious! We tried the ribs and prime rib, both of which were fantastic! The bartenders were friendly and had a great sense of humor. This place is a must-visit when you're in Chicago!
The most awful pub I've been in. More like Guantanamo Bay than a pub. Every single staff member treats you as if you are a huge nuisance for coming in. The people at the door scowl at you, and as soon as we sat at the bar, the barwoman said “You need to order something to sit there.” when we challenged her and the staff, she ran away. The staff at the door were miserable and did not care and seemed to think it's normal behaviour to be totally miserable
