Description

Mia Francesca brings the zesty, earthy cuisine of Rome and the surrounding areas of Tuscany, Umbria, and Lazio to diners. This restaurant was among the pioneers in Chicago to promote lively dining with a contemporary trattoria ambiance, simple rustic cooking, friendly service, and fair prices. Founded by Restaurateur Scott Harris in 1992, the Francesca's Restaurant Group has expanded from a small Italian eatery on Chicago’s North Clark Street to five unique concepts with 25 locations in three states. The group's portfolio includes 18 Francesca’s Restaurants, four Davanti Enoteca's, Disotto, Fat Rosie’s, and Hillgrove Tap.

This restaurant has been special to us for many years. We decided to celebrate out Anniversary there and the staff made the night very special. Our visit started with glasses of complimentary Prosecco. The food and staff was reliably exceptional. Our meal ended with a complimentary candle-topped dessert. Thank you to Mia Francesca for making our evening so special. We can't wait to come back

The original Mia Francesca on Clark Street has always held a special place in my heart. The service is always great, the food ridiculously delicious, hot, and fresh, and the atmosphere, great. Boisterous and fun. COVID has been hard on all Chicago restaurants, including this classic, so if you can go dine there, do so! It never disappoints. And if you do go, TIP YOUR SERVER WELL! bon apetit
