This is an amazing spot to go for dinner. They have excellent rainbow trout and the seven years aged cheddar macaroni is delicious. The atmosphere is very quiet and low-light. The servers are super helpful and nice as well.
The food was incredible, and the staff were outstanding! Huge thanks to Erick and JuJu!!!
We arrived at 4:15 PM when only the bar area was open. We were given menus and seated at a lounge table with my wife and child. The service was excellent! The food was quite delicious; we tried the Reuben, the Chi-town steak sandwich, and chicken strips, all of which were flavorful and seemed freshly made, not frozen. The bartender was attentive, and they even provided free cookies for our child.
Markethouse truly uses fresh ingredients, boasting its own garden on the sixth floor. I've visited a few times for lunch, and they offer a fantastic lunch special: a sandwich and soup combo for just $9! The lunch menu is quite extensive, but one of my all-time favorites is the gourmet mac-n-cheese. It may sound simple, but it is incredibly delicious! They promise to get you in and out within 30 minutes, perfect for anyone on a tight schedule. The service is consistently excellent, and there's usually no wait during lunch hours. I had the pleasure of attending two cooking demonstrations by their executive chef, Scott Walton, who is both approachable and friendly. He even emailed me his mac-n-cheese recipe, though I'm sure mine won't compare to his. I'm looking forward to returning to try their dinner menu!
