Mango Pickle - Chicago
Mango Pickle
Menu
The restaurant from Chicago offers 35 different menus and drinks on the menu at an average price of $10.3.
Mango Pickle boasts a frequently updated menu that invites diners to return often, though some patrons express hesitation due to high prices, with meals for two reaching $180 without alcohol. The restaurant offers an intriguing afternoon tea and a good chai, although certain vegetarian options have disappointed. While the vibrant flavors of Indian cuisine, particularly in dishes like samosas and lamb, earn praise, some found the portion sizes and fusion elements lacking. Overall, Mango Pickle presents a blend of authentic flavors and casual charm, making it worth a visit despite mixed reviews on pricing and consistency.

Was Gino Williams at Mango Pickle a mag?
As an avid fan of Indian cuisine, I was eager to explore the offerings at Mango Pickle. I found the brunch menu to be quite enjoyable, but it was the dinner menu that truly captured my heart. There’s a subtle nod to Eastern European influences in some of the dishes, particularly with the use of certain root vegetables, yet the vibrant flavors of Indian cooking shine through beautifully. What Anish Shah dislikes about Mango Pickle:
On a positive note, their menu is frequently updated, allowing you to choose when to visit, but I’m unsure if we would return at this price point. For two people, one cheese board, our total came to $180, and we didn’t even order any alcohol. When you compare this to a similar restaurant in the city, like Rooh, the cost is still significantly higher for two people.
By the way, they also offer afternoon tea now. Whil... View all feedback.
Disappointing experience. I went for the afternoon tea service, and the food was cold and quite bland. Overall, I left feeling underwhelmed in every way.

While we didn’t participate in that, we did try their chai, which was quite good. As for vegetarian options, it's a tasting menu with one vegetarian choice for each course.
Casual yet great atmosphere, excellent food a great service. Server knew well about the food and wine! This was my second visit and menu is always rotated, and seasonal so excellent.Vegetarian options: Just ask server and chef does make veg options!Dietary restrictions: We had a table of 4 with everyone with a different restrictions and they met our expectations!
I went to this place today and it was pretty bad. I am a vegetarian Indian so two of my courses were diff. The first two starters were good but then it went downhill. My 3 rd course was an Aam Paana and it basically a mango juice. But the one is the restaurant was more like a chutney and not drinkable. My fourth course was literally just vegetables how can I just eat vegetables? Then the fifth was some ice cream which had way too much of a Cardomum taste and a crepe with an Indian prasad which didn’t gel well. Overall not repeatable and not worth $60 per head!
